Cisco Meraki Configuration Guide
Follow this guide to setup Wifi Waiter demo on your Cisco Meraki dashboard.
  • Select Wireless -> SSID
  • Pick a new un-configured SSID and click on “rename”
  • Enter the name you would like Suggestion: Set the SSID name as ‘!Wifi Waiter @ ’ for example:
    !Wifi Waiter @ Sparkman Wharf
    !Wifi Waiter @ Rock Brothers Brewing
    The ‘!’ ensures that the SSID is displayed on the top of the list on iOS devices.
  • Click on Save Changes

  • Select Wireless -> Access Control
  • Select applicable SSID in the dropdown box
  • Select the below options
    Association requirements: Open
    Splash page: Click through
    Network access control:
    Assign group policy by device type: Disabled
    Captive portal strength: Block all access until sign-on is complete
    Walled garden: Walled garden is enabled
    Walled garden ranges:
    *.wifiwaiter.net
    *.torchfi.com
    *.wifiwaiter.co
    *.trch.in
    *.stripe.com
    If you receive an error that the walled garden entry is invalid, please open support case via Help-> Cases -> New Case to enable walled garden domains on your account.
    Controller disconnection behavior: Restricted
    Client IP assignment: NAT mode
    VLAN tagging: Don’t use
    Content filtering: Disabled
    Bonjour forwarding: Disabled
    Wireless Options: no changes
  • Click on Save Changes

  • Select Wireless -> Splash page
  • Select applicable SSID in the dropdown box Select “Customer splash page url” Enter the URL assigned to you or one of the demo URLs mentioned in earlier section
  • Select splash frequency: every half hour
  • Click on Save Changes

  • Select Wireless -> SSID
  • Select “enabled” from drop down box for the applicable SSID
  • Click Save Changes
